Sight word practice sheets

Paste your school's sight word list — Dolch, Fry, or whatever your teacher sent home — to preview a personalized sheet. Full-pack checkout is being prepared. The free family pilot makes a short printable pack for ages 4–8 from your own words.

Pages to include

Built around the list your child is actually learning

Sight word lists differ from school to school and from week to week. A workbook bought online covers the Dolch or Fry list in its own order, which rarely matches what the class is on. Paste the words your child needs this week and every sheet uses those.

Five kinds of practice in preview

This tool can preview tracing, repeated writing, a word search, flashcards or a progress chart. Its full printable version is not available for purchase yet. The free family pilot currently prints tracing, a word search and a drawing-and-writing page.

Short, frequent practice works best

Try a few minutes at a time with the words your child needs now. The free family pilot makes three pages; review them before printing and use whichever page fits the day.

Questions

Does this work with Dolch and Fry lists?

Yes. Paste any of the Dolch or Fry lists, or your teacher's own list. The sheets are built from whatever words you paste in.

How many words fit?

The preview accepts up to 20 words. The free printable family pilot accepts 2 to 12; a short list is easier to practice together.

Is the word search different each time?

Yes. The words are placed in a new random pattern every time you build it.

What age is this for?

The free printable family pilot supports ages 4–8. Review the words and pages for your child before using them.

Can I print just the flashcards?

Not on this site yet. You can preview flashcards here; the free family pack currently prints tracing, word search and drawing-and-writing pages.
